Wallace Monument - attempt!

While enjoying the grandeur of Stirling Castle, we thought we ought to run over to the Wallace Monument and see what it was like. So we hoofed it over there - quite a long walk. We reached the top of the hill, only to be told that we were too late to climb all the stairs. It was frustrating to be denied entrance. Well, there were lovely views from the top of the hill, in any case. Disappointed, we walked back to the train station and went back to Glasgow.
