The Britannia Panopticon Music Hall

Isn't this a lovely wee ensemble?

Today I took the underground to Argyle street in the city centre. I was wandering around and happened upon the Panopticon in Trongate, where there were signs for a museum. So I followed them and found a delightful place, dimly lit, with old posters, clothing and such. Here are some pictures from the museum.

P.S. the Panopticon's claim to fame is that Stan Laurel had his debut here in 1906! Also, there is a website: www.britanniapanopticon.org

A lovely dress of circa 1890~put me in mind of Larkrise to Candleford
The infamous Harry Lauder!
Another lovely dress, from an earlier era - 1850's?
"He sounds just like Jack Buchanan!", "I love Jack Buchanan!"
