Shenanigans in Smithville!

It was so nice just to be back in New York enjoying the company of Heather, Michael & Katie. One night, Katie made pizzas for dinner - very delicious! Katie and I also dyed our hair - in both cases it didn't really take. Katie was aiming for blonde. All it did was lighten the red, making her hair look as it did when she was a little girl. I was aiming for a dark red, but it just darkened my hair a little, is all. Oh well. We had fun while we were at it!

Other things of interest in Smithville Flats: the dead, somewhat mummified cat in the barn, orb weavers in the door, and a glimpse inside the abandoned mill down the road...Ah, the glory of central New York!

Katie pizza: pepperoni & mushrooms

Mushrooms, pesto, rocket & kale!

Dying hair!

A lovely wee toad

Beautiful orb-weaver. I miss these spiders!

The old mill

A peek inside the old mill

Dead cat

Kittens! (very much alive!)

The missionaries: Elder Spencer & Elder Viscerelli (sp?) hanging out with Gypsy & Rooster

Rooster enjoying his favourite treat: Vanilla ice cream!

Gypsy enjoying HER favourite thing: sleeping in peoples drawers!
